I travel frequently (I live overseas) and I am very picky about my airline "personal item". This backpack is a DREAM fro air travel! The laptop pocket is separate from the rest of the main compartment. The main compartment is not only roomy, byt has zippered mesh pockets on the part the zips open, so you can keep all of the little things that you need easy access to there without worrying that they will fall out when you unzip the main compartment and pull it open. The front packet has a cover over the zipper, making it hard for someone to open it wheil you are wearing it. It has a little stash pocket on the side with a hard-to-find zipper, for cash or cards. It really is THE BEST traveler's backpack for the money. I ordered it in the plum / wine color, which is fine, but I would love to have the orange one if it ever comes back in stock.

I really like this new backpack, it's compact but with enough compartments, it has two places to fit your laptop, it has padding for laptop so you make sure it is safe, I would still be careful though. It has one for laptop in the main compartment and another behind it for your water pack which could also be used to put the laptop. It is versatile and can be used for school, work, hiking camping, and it looks great, I got the black one, and I love it so much already. The top part of the bag meant to hold is a bit of hassle when trying to reach quickly in the bag but I really like the overall design and shape of the bag and very suitable for carrying my everyday essentials and fits everything neatly and how I like. For only 20 dollars, this backpack really outdid itself for me. Love it. I plan to use it for years to come.
