Sauder Shoal Creek Engineered Wood 6 Drawer Dresser in Oiled Oak

Received the product in a timely manner but there was some slight damage to the top of the dresser which was not discovered until after opening and getting ready to assemble. My husband filled the hole with wood filler and it does not show very much since it's near the back edge of the top of the dresser. Otherwise everything was fine and we are very happy with this piece of furniture which we are using in a guest room as well as for storage.

I bought almost every piece to this collection, highly skeptical that I'd be able to put it together or that it would be as strong as I'd like. I'm not an especially strong woman and I put the whole set: night stands (2), headboard, toy chest, and dresser, together by myself. It does take some time, so clear a couple hours per each piece. All of the pieces went together strong and sturdy. All five pieces also came in good condition with all the needed parts and some extra. (Sorry if I ended up with your missing handle!) This dresser is a little shorter than I was expecting, but still a nice height. Of the five pieces I bought, this one took the longest, had the most pieces, and required the most space. If you have the luxury of buying multiple pieces, put this together after you put the nightstand or bookshelf headboard together. Again, I did put this and all these pieces together by myself within a day. Of the pieces I bought, this one probably had the hardest to follow directions, mostly regarding which direction to put the draw slides. On the other hand, this is also the piece that I feel I put together the best, as well. Look at the pictures carefully and try to even match the direction the picture is in to get it in the correct position. I know I did and it went together without a hitch. The best piece of advice I can give: MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE PIECES IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION BEFORE YOU SCREW ANYTHING TOGETHER. Unscrewing the pieces will weaken the piece and make it unstable. Don't let that warning discourage you. You can definitely put this together, but double check your work. I was lucky enough to learn that piece of advice on the night stand, which wasn't as big of a deal in regards to strength as this piece. Overall, I loved this piece. It's pretty. The drawers are nice and large and it makes the set so nice.
