ASUS Prime RTX 5080 – Review

ASUS Prime RTX 5080 – Review First Impressions & Design From the moment you take it out of the box, the Prime RTX 5080 shows that ASUS has aimed for a strong balance between performance, cooling, and build quality. It isn't the flashiest ART/ROG variant, but it delivers plenty of meat where it counts. The design is clean, solid, and the cooling solution looks well engineered. It's made to be somewhat more compact/sFF-friendly than some of the larger “flagship” cards, which is great for users building mid-sized or small form factor systems. ASUS has clearly put thought into making sure you get high performance without an unnecessarily bulky cooler. --- Key Specs That Matter Here are some of the specs that really help the Prime RTX 5080 shine: Spec Prime RTX 5080 GPU Architecture NVIDIA Blackwell 2.0 Cores / SMs / RT / Tensor 10,752 CUDA cores; 84 SMs; 84 RT-cores; 336 Tensor cores Memory 16 GB GDDR7, ~30 Gbps; 256-bit bus; ~960 GB/s bandwidth Clock Speeds Base ~2295 MHz; Boost in the range of ~2600-2655 MHz depending on edition/model Physical / Power ~2.5-slot width; length ~304-306 mm; TDP ~360 W; suggests PSU around 750 W or more

ASUS, per usual, did not disappoint with this GPU

I've had the graphics card in my PC for a few day now and have not run into a single problem. From installation to loading up my first game the process was incredibly easy and so far I haven't ran into a single issue. The fans on this GPU are very quiet, my case and radiator fans are much louder. I have been able to run almost every game I have loaded up on max graphics. I would definitely buy another ASUS GPU in the near future

It suits my needs!

The Asus Prime is a powerful device and runs perfectly well. The aesthetics of the graphics card are welcomed, not too flashy, not too boring. Just right for my liking. Some boost clocks may be better on other 5080 brand cards, but I like what I have and it works for me. It runs what I play on my 4k oled 240hz monitor (not bragging) with ease, way better than my 4080s I traded for it and I loved that card as well. I just wanted the additional features that came with the new 5000 series cards. For gaming it works, its not a 5090, but then again I'm not an enthusiast. Just a casual gamer! I like the Asus Prime despite what others say about it. The overclock is good. I have mine set between 390-400 core clock and 1500-2000 memory, without touching voltage and it runs stable. My temps are maxed at 71-72c. Clock speeds between 3180-3200mhz max. I mess around a little. Gameplay buttery smooth, however as with all games you still have to play around with the settings to get the best feel no matter the graphics card! Optimized games also play a major role and how the gameplay will be as well. But, all-in-all I'm happy with my purchase of the Asus Prime gpu 16gbs it suits my needs for now.
