Accuquilt GO! Fabric Cutter Starter Set

The Accuquilt GO! Fabric Cutter Starter Set is a great place to start quilting if you like things to go a little faster. Beginners can use it to cut precision strips, squares, triangles, puppies or cats; almost anything you can think of has a "die." I was able to cut over 50 half yards into 1¾" strips that were 4 layers of fabric thick. Of course. the fabric was ironed and folded and ironed again. The half yard fabric was then a 10" wide by 23" long piece. Next you weight the fabric down by laying a cutting mat on top of the fabric. Then (like a sandwich) the whole thing is placed on the 1¾" Die. This particular die has six lines of cutters that are hidden until they are pressed into use, as you roll them through the pressured area. (Sorry, I'm not sure what the area you roll through is called.) With Accuquilt Dies you can cut anything that might come to mind i.e. Animals, stars, circles, strips up to 6.5" and much more. (As mentioned above and more.) Instructions are user friendly and the Accuquilt Go! is easy to store. The investment is worth the cost considering what you receive. Additionally, the www.accuquilt.com is very useful and their phone number is available with friendly individuals who know the answers to questions and problems. (They do recommend you use fabric folded off the bolts in yard or Meter. That is because they don't want you cutting the fabric on the bias. [which is very stretchy] However, If you sew , you have learned that not all fabric is rolled up correctly. I recommend that you wash your fabric before you do anything. Then match up the selvage.)
