This is actually very well put together. The holders are able to be set up differently and it works pretty good. If you have a thicker base to your spinning reel or a bait caster it won't sit as deep in the pocket but the bungee will keep that working. I plan on mounting this on the inside sode of my truck bed at an angle to hold rods out the back of my truck safely without beating up the tips.
