Easier to fill without spilling water all over. Coffee pot can be used easily by a left or right handed person. Sounds ridicules but must pour spouts on the pots always favors a right-handed person. The nostalgic look is fanstatic and blends with all my fifties decor. As for making coffee, easy to make with reusable filter and right temperature for great taste not burnty taste.
