So far, I like these socks better than any other socks I own. I haven't washed them yet. If they shrink, I won't be saying the same thing. I won't use the dryer. Today, they're just right. I would cosider them to be thick enough to keep my cold feet warm, but not so thick you'd need a larger sized shoe to wear them away from home. They're nearly all cotton - the 5% spandex is what makes it feel like my feet are being hugged. These socks are being worn by a woman with size 9 feet. I liked the enough to order more.
