I've only had this bed a few day but I do like that is is about 5 inches thick and perfect height for my fur-baby to see out the window easily. She had back surgery Spring 2016 and the other beds I used seem to cave in and I was concerned about them not supporting her back well enough. She only weight 27 lbs but has a long body, nearly 36 inches from top of head to just before her tail. So far so good. The bed itself seems to be well made. I choose the burgundy color and I'm happy with it. In the picture she doesn't look that long but SHE IS. And you can see how cozy she looks while looking out the window.
