DecMode 8" Multi Colored Metal Clock, Set of 3

I had purchased one of these clocks in person at a local retailer and was pleased with it, in part because I could easily disassemble it and replace the printed clock face with a different image, creating a one-of-a-kind clock that made a terrific gift. I was thrilled to find the same exact clocks on Hayneedle and ordered a set, but while all three of them appear to work (I put batteries in each) I've found four problems with them: Problem 1.) The product information states that the set contains one white clock, one gray clock, and one black clock. Instead I received a box of three white clocks - each of them a slightly dirty-looking off-white color. Problem 2.) The metal bodies of two of them are fine, but the third has a noticeable dent at the bottom of the oval, near the number 5. Problem 3.) Two of them arrived with noticeable (and rather deep) scratches on their glass fronts. Problem 4.) Before I ordered these clocks I asked customer service (via the ""questions"" section on the product detail page) if these clocks are silent or if they make an audible ticking sound. (The one I purchased in a store is silent, which is my preference.) I received a reply from customer service via email saying, ""These clocks are silent,"" but it turns out that is not true. I put batteries in each of them, and all three tick. There clearly is not good quality control for this set of clocks. You might get lucky and receive three clocks that look great and are just what you wanted, but that was not the case for me. Order with caution.
