It's heavier than you would think. More than those fleece seasonal ones. This one is warm-it has texture its big enough to not be a tiny throw but instead almost be a full mattress sized one. There's a competitor one for about 10 more at Costco but my membership expired and this is just about the same just a little bit lighter in weight but for the price and accessibility, the trade off makes it more that okay. I think I want one more in a diff color. It's really nice. it's packaged with a velcro tie so it can make a nice gift as well. I got the brown one %26 it's a nice deep rich color.

I bought this for my Dad during his hospital stay.. I couldn't believe how big, lush %26 absolutely gorgeous this blanket was in person!! I washed and dried it before taking it to the hospital and there was no change whatsoever to this blanket.. It was immediately turned into my Dad's Private Cocoon that he absolutely adored!! I simply could not get over what an enormous hit it quickly became and how everyone visiting, and coming in his room including all of the medical staff just had to know where they could buy one.. They were in utter shock not only by the low price, but when I told them Walmart!!!

I am in love with this velvety soft blanket/throw. It feels great to the touch, warm, and heavy in a soothing way. I have bought three of them, so they are never too far from me.
