The Dogs Love it, and that's what counts.
It's really up to the dogs, and they love the new bed. After sorting out how much belonged to the old Shepard and how much the Pit got, (the old Shepard won) things settled into a normal routine of snoring, and doggy dreams. I've checked several time, and found the bed is keeping them nice and warm. I figure I'll wash the cover every two weeks with the blanket provided with the bed. I'm impressed with how warm they're staying as we don't run any heat unless the temps get to freezing outside. If you have 2 large dogs, or 4 medium ones, this bed will fit them. It looks like it's made to last, and should be good for the next set of hairy kids. ššāāāāā, and some tail wags too.
