When I first found this, I was looking over the shelf at the store where they placed new or reduced items. It was so inexpensive that time, I figured what the heck? I picked up one and was thrilled with how well it works. I have found nothing that cleans like this. I found that pans, like skillets, that have drening on the bottom for years and have never been able to clean it off. this was what sold me, it cleaned them like they were brand new. I have told everyone about Bar Keepers Friend and heard many amazed comments when they try it. Trust me, I have cleaned pans that were used and forgotten on the stove set off the smoke alarm. It was so great, I was able to get all the burned stuff off. For stuff like this, I will liberally sprinkle it on the stubborn pan and fill with water. Let it sit. Wow. Saved more than one pan. Give it a go.

Bar Keepers Friend is a friend to stainless steel

I didn't even know that stainless steel should not be cleaned with a product like Comet or Ajax. You need Bar Keepers Friend, which doesn't scratch. I was researching stainless steel kitchen counter tops, and I read the "how to clean stainless steel" page. Immediately my stainless steel baking sheets popped into my head, because it's virtually impossible to keep them permanently looking like new, even though I line them with tinfoil every single time I use them. I discovered that just letting them sit with Bar Keepers Friend all over the bottom and enough water to cover the bottom, makes virtually every stain just rinse off with more water. Residue and spots all gone. Will be using this product from now on to clean all my stainless steel.
