I love that this composition notebook has a flexible cover. This makes it easy to stick into my kids' backpacks without worrying about the rigid cover not fitting well. The pages are a good size for writing and the wide ruled lines make it easy for kids to write in. The design on the cover is fun and cool for kids. There are plenty of writing pages in here for kids to use and will definitely last the whole school year. It's even easy to tear out the pages, if you need to do so. I'm able to use a permanent marker to put my child's name on the front with ease. Overall, this is a great choice for a composition notebook.

The Pen + Gear Poly Composition T-rex notebook was a HUGE win for my seven year old second grader. He was so excited when he saw it. He begged me to let him use it at home instead of school because it glows in the dark and he wants to be able to see it at night. He loved it so much he couldn't wait to start writing in it. We're working on spelling so it was a hit. It has 80 pages just like the other ones. Good idea if you want to give them some motivation to write.
