But this FOOD MICROWAVE COVER , DOESN'T leave any PLASTIC taste on my food. It's a little heavier than the common COVER, because the TOP of the unit is GLASS . And when you're ready to remove the unit from the MICROWAVE, the HANDLE will NOT be HOT.

It does the job and a great splatter cover. However, the top of the cover , the handle area gets very hot if you microwave something for more than 2 mins. At that point you almost run the risk of burning yourself.
