I've purchased this fabric repeatedly in several colors because it's affordable, dependable, and easy to work with. The lower price is especially helpful when I'm testing a new pattern or trying a technique for the first time. A sewing mistake is much less heartbreaking when the fabric didn't cost a small fortune. Before cutting into it, I run the fabric through both the washer and dryer so any shrinking happens before I sew the finished item. The colors have held up well for me, and I haven't noticed any significant fading after laundering. It's a lightweight cotton, so it works nicely for crafts, linings, simple garments, and other projects that don't require a heavy or highly structured material. This is also a very beginner-friendly fabric. It stays in place while cutting and sewing instead of slipping around or trying to escape from under the presser foot. It presses easily, feeds through my machine well, and makes it easier to concentrate on learning the pattern rather than wrestling with the material. I'll continue buying additional colors because it's a reliable and inexpensive sewing-room staple.
