Mainstays 2.2 Qt Air Fryer in Arctic Black with Non-Stick Basket

This is our first air fryer (I know we're very late in the game). I didn't want to spend a lot of money on another kitchen appliance we wouldn't use sitting out on our limited kitchen countertop space. This was a perfect fit for just two people for the size. I wanted an easy-to-use cooking appliance for my husband to cook or reheat food when he's by himself. He's definitely a novice in the kitchen. This Mainstays Air Fryer is so basic with only two knobs for time and temperature that he can easily figure it out. We just got it today and followed the start-up directions to wash the basket and liner, then set the temp to 400 for 20 minutes to cook off any residual chemicals. It did smell while we did this part, but I just washed the basket and liner again afterward. I did notice that our countertop got hot from this test cycle, so I put a trivet underneath to prevent any damage. We had fun trying frozen breaded chicken fillets and frozen spring rolls to try it out. We just followed the oven directions for both, and they all came out crispy and delicious like from our big oven. Clean up was easy with just hand washing the basket and liner. There's not an on/off switch, but we prefer it since we'd unplug anyway after each use. Wow. Good job Walmart!
