I used this 36" x 25" piece of butcher block to make a small kitchen table. Once I got it oiled, it turned out to be beautiful! Plus, it's exactly the size I needed. I looked everywhere for a solid wood table this size at a reasonable price but couldn't find one that was made of wood, yet they wanted $200 for them. This butcher block piece cost about $106 I found a set of four, iron legs for $18.99, which altogether made a very pretty, precious small kitchen table. Table legs at Home Depot started out at $30 PER LEG! Making your own table with a piece of wood like this, which is Birch, saves $$ and turns out wonderful!! The site that sells the butcher block has it in all shapes and sizes.

Beautiful!

Used butcher block oil to seal it and it's beautiful! Very heavy, thick counter top and looks great on the laundry machines. Almost too nice for laundry room!
