When first applying the lipstick a satin finish that's almost exactly my natural lip color. After several minutes, it's more of a matte finish and for me, the color darkens slightly and almost has a grey tinge to me (doesn't sound pretty but it's gorgeous and still a perfect nude shade). There's minimal transfer during wear and because it's so close to my natural lip color that it fades well, I don't look up and suddenly realize I just have a ring of lip color around the edges. It is fairly long wearing but I prefer to reapply every few hours mostly because it makes my lips feel satiny soft both from the texture of the lipstick and because it's fairly hydrating. I was surprised to find that I can reapply instead of reaching for lip balm throughout the day like I normally do. Not only do I like that color and the formula but packaging is great as well. The flat, angled applicator has a velvet like texture. The shape and material work well and do not pick up too much product. It's the perfect amount for both the top and bottom lip without being gloppy or needing to be dipped again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Rouge Signature Lasting Matte Liquid Lipstick is one of the best long lasting lip products I have ever used! I love make up and have tried probably 90 percent of long lasting lip colors, lip stains, lip sticks, etc, of all sorts and brands, I'm also very picky, so I definitely know a great lip product. This lipstick goes on so smooth, the color is absolutely beautiful, fully pigmented, and long lasting, even after drinking and eating. It doesn't flake, or dry your lips out, it really is and does feel lightweight, there are no sticky clumps. The color is a beautiful shade. It's not too bright, and attention causing, the matte finish tones it down just the right amount, so that the true color comes through. My favorite part is the applicator which is a pointed triangular shape, so it's very easy to apply how ever much you choose, and the point is great for lining your lips. The liquid has a smooth, rich feel and settles into the lips, causing the color to adapt to your specific natural lip shade, so the color looks great with a variety of skin tones. I firmly believe it can be worn by any woman and look amazing!
