You need to buy two in order to make it as big as shown / seen in videos. Our cat loves it and so do the kids, haha. The balls stay in, makes noise, and it flips around like shown in the video. The two pieces magnetize together. It should last as well as expected - not forever as it is a cardboard type material. I would buy again. Paid just under $12 for both pieces.

Fun to put together---cat scratch and donkey toy

It's made of cardboard, so it's not going to last long. But it didn't really cost that much. If you're looking for something made to endure look elsewhere. I purchased two, in the end I put one outside for the cats, and my donkey chewed it up and spit the ball out at me. I didn't see that coming. I think it felt good against her teeth, and she was playing with it. The outdoor cats did use it to scratch with. It has always kept them engaged. Putting it together was fun, too.
