Shedding terribly

The rug is shedding extremely terribly. I had a 4 ft one ordered from wayfair and it didn't shed. But it was too small and they were sold out on wayfair so I ordered here. I feel like this is a defective rug.. unless no one else has reviewed theirs for shedding. Wondering if the backing is bad because if I sat there and pulled out the fuzz, it could become an empty spot.
