Davion Youth Padded Sliding Shorts with Cup Pocket for Baseball & Softball (Black L)

Ordered a youth large for my 5'4" 105lb 12 yr old as baseball sliding shorts. He is lean so I knew the next size up, mens small would be too big and the next size smaller, Youth Medium, would be too small. He wears Youth Large in everything else so I didn't look at the sizing guide or measurements, I just ordered his regular size and hoped for the best. This is the first year he has worn sliding shorts and a cup because they are both mandatory now. These made my sons transition to wearing a cup much easier. The shorts are a soft comfortable material that provide some compression but are not too tight. The included cup is sized appropriately and secures well in a pocket inside the shorts. There is no way the cup will slide or shift while playing. 5 stars for durability, comfort, soft fabric, appropriately sized and comfortable cup. If its not too hot out, he will wear boxer brief underwear underneath the shorts for another layer of protection. They are not magic, they don't automatically improve his sliding technique, he still gets a bruise on the side of his hip from sliding feet first, but it does offer some padding against the scratches that come with a good slide. I ordered the 2 pack with the white and black. The black for practice and white under his uniform because the white will show less under light colored ball pants. The cup is a hard plastic material that is covered in a soft fabric with fabric edged. He likes the fit and the feel of it. It gets the job done. These would work for football, softball, and soccer too. I am happy with them, would order the Davion brand again, and would definitely recommend it.

My son bought these for baseball. They fit great.
