Buttery soft fabric, but the tops roll immediately

These stockings are incredibly soft, very comfortable to put on with no wrestling to pull them up. However, the moment I took my hand off the first one to start putting on the second one, the first one started rolling down. Garter straps are absolutely necessary, but even in the areas between straps, the stocking tops roll severely. While the bottom 80% of these stockings feel amazing and comfortable, that top part that insists on rolling makes there's almost unwearable. I don't prefer tights, but would consider using these as tights just to keep from rolling because I like the fabric that much.
