No, this isn't a military grade cover, but I didn't expect it to be. It's just very comfortable in the hand and durable. And it has a wrist strap, which is also well made. I got it on clearance, so, what a deal! I love the low-key color, too. It's a nice, light taupe, which is great for not flagging the boss that you have your phone out in the office. But it also kind of camouflages it at home sometimes, so I might get a brighter color as well, if they are still available. If you're concerned about the design, which is religious to some people, I wouldn't be. Personally, I'm not going to use it to stare at and try to understand the universe. I just consider it a floral motif, and that's all.
