Was excited for the opportunity to review this Farberware Professional, Brushed Stainless Steel, 1.1 Cu. Ft 1000-Watt Microwave Oven in exchange for the product. Our ten year old, counter-top unit succumbed to old age, and was not worth the cost of repairing. ** MODERNISTIC DESIGN - I was immediately impressed after placing this Farberware unit on my counter-top. Its brushed stainless steel finish in black trim blends in so well with my other kitchen appliances, which are also finished in SS and black. WoW! So, after almost three weeks of use, what do I love about this unit? ** FEATURE-PACKED – This Farberware MW has the latest, greatest cooking tech. Yet, it is so simple to use. It allows me to set up to different 10 Power Levels, from 10% to 100% (1,000 watts). It has a Memory feature, which allows me program simple settings of functions I use routinely. Another great feature I love is the Multi-Stage cooking. When my Grand Kids pop in for a visit and want a yummy snack I can place frozen corn dogs in the MW, defrost them, and then, cook them at the same time using the Time Cook and Power touch screen settings. WooHoo! The Auto-Cook feature absolutely blew me away. There are six pre-set selections on the touch-screen menu, Popcorn, Potato, Pizza, Frozen Veggies, Beverage, and Dinner Plate. Love this feature. For instance when I choose the Frozen Vegetable pre-set the display gives me choices of “4”, “8”, or “16” representing the weight of the veggies being cooked. And, it gives me choices for all of the six pre-sets by weight or volume. How cool is that? It also features Weight Defrost, which lets me choose from 4 to 100 ounces. It has a Kitchen Timer, which I can use independently of the MW, and also cooks conventionally like any other MW using Time and Power. This baby also Beeps 5 times at the end of each and any cooking cycles. ** SAFETY & OTHER FEATURES – A Lock function for children. MW door has to be closed at all times, otherwise the cooking functions are interrupted. The display of the touch screen is a pleasant Green LED. Stop/Cancel touch screen button, which is self-explanatory. When depressed the Start/Cancel returns the MW back to the Stand-By state. A round, 12.5 inch, glass turntable for more efficient cooking is furnished and easily washable. ** FAVORITE FEATURES – By depressing the Start touch screen button I can cook in 30-second increments at full power by simply pressing Start each time. I can also add 30-seconds to most cooking functions by depressing Start at the end of that particular function. Dinner Plate feature in the Auto Cook Menu is what Grandma and I use the most. We take leftovers out of the fridge on various sized plates and use this Auto feature to reheat our meals. All we have to do is load our plates and tell this MW what size the plate is, “9”, “12”, or “18” inch plate size. Love it. Food comes out hot, but not overheated. YaHoo! ** CONCLUSION – This Farberware Professional, 1.1 Cu. Ft 1000-Watt Microwave Oven, in Brushed Stainless Steel, is a bargain for what it offers. We use this unit several times a day and absolutely love it. It would make a great gift for a bridal shower, wedding, new home, or to any special friend or family member. My wife is buying one for our niece, who lives in a college dormitory.

This microwave is very stylish with the back and silver. Matches very well with my other appliances in the kitchen. Easy to assemble and set up. The interior is gray and easy to wipe and keep clean. Glass turntable is durable and also very easy to take out to clean. Microwave offers 6 auto selections that make heating up certain foods as easy as touching a button. It also has 6 express cooking selections along with a quick or additional 30 second heating option. LED time and digital clock is bright and easy to read. Does a very good job of warming food evenly. Great additional to our kitchen!
