[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely did not believe this would in any way be effective, but thought I would give it a try. I have been in physical therapy for months for injuries ranging from a traumatic brain injury to fractured ribs to a fractured collarbone, all from a major fall. My biggest problem has been with the occipital nerves at the base of my skull, and we have been trying a variety of ways to stimulate and loosen those in PT. Not only is my physical therapist all in on me trying different gadgets to help with this mission at home, she has been pointing some out on different websites and recommending them, so I was not at all hesitant to give this a try. The little nubs on both the pillow and the flat portion are sharper than you expect and, upon pulling it out of its portable bag, I wondered how I would possibly lay on this thing. However, it's the kind of thing you can easily set up on your bed instead of having to put it on the hard floor, which helps. That makes me much more inclined to use it. It provides just the right amount of acupressure type stimulation into your skin and nerves and it is frankly amazing. Although it is in a portable bag it is bulkier than a yoga mat and I'm not sure how much I'll be taking it with me places, but it does allow for convenient storage of both pieces together. I'm really glad I got this item, which is sharper image branded and gives me greater trust in it than a non-name brand. It just works.
