Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA Batteries (8 Pack), Double A Batteries

These are premium batteries, and the price makes no effort to conceal that fact. I don't use them everywhere. A motorized kid's toy doesn't need boutique electrons, and the collection of remote controls living in a nightstand drawer will survive perfectly well on ordinary alkaline batteries. Where I do use lithium batteries is in expensive electronic equipment such as digital scales, meters, and other devices where long life, reliable voltage, and especially resistance to leakage matter more than saving a few dollars on batteries. That's really the calculation. Putting premium batteries in everything would be expensive and unnecessary. Putting inexpensive batteries in an expensive piece of equipment, then discovering years later that one leaked and damaged it, is a particularly unsatisfying form of economy. Use the ordinary batteries for ordinary jobs. These go in the equipment I'd rather not replace.
