I love the Tapo ecosystem. This smart lock does everything I need it to do and more. I can create one time passcodes for guests and have a permanent code for myself. You cal also set it up to have smart features with other Tapo items in your household. For the money, it is an amazing product. I would buy again.

Haven't had this item more then a day but it was extremely easy to install and setup. Not sure about battery life but in requires 4 AAs. The setup guide says they are supposed to last around 3 months. I would imagine this would be very dependent of how much usage it gets. I used the included batteries separately purchased batteries. So we will see.

Don't believe the backup can be rekeyed to match current house locks, so that's one drawback. I rekeyed my other locks to match the smart lock. Only comes with two physical keys, which was also a drawback for my needs.
