This runner is very beautiful and delicate. I would not recommend it for a busy family dinner table. My kitchen is vintage country and it looks beautiful. I will remove it for big dinners. But for everyday it works. Care must be taken when cleaning. Delicate cycle and air dry, light touch pressing may be requird. I love it. Its that touch of class I wanted.
