Sizing is WAAAAAY off

Sizing is WAY off. Ordered size L for my 9 year old who wears a size 4 shoes thinking they'd be a little big and last longer. Size L says it fits age 10 - Adult, shoe sizes 6-9. My kid can barely get his foot in them and he's not a “big” kid. What a waste. I'm going to try to send them back but I've already washed them... Honestly though, they are a really nice quality sock and I would have loved if they worked.
