Works well
I was afforded the opportunity to try this product and exchange for my honest opinion. This gate is perfect's perfect size I like the wood metal frame. If it's the doorway perfect as my granddaughter is just learning to crawl so we put it at the top of the steps so she wouldn't fall down the steps.

Perfect Home Accessory!
Safety 1st Wood-and-Metal Baby Gate is the best gate. This gate is simple to use and made from the finest wood and metal products that Safety 1st could source. This gate is simple therefore making it easy to navigate for adults and bigger kids while protecting our littles in need of containing tona smaller space. This gate is perfect for children as well as animals.

Great child's gate
This is a nice looking gate compared to the metal One we have in the other room. This really is a child's gate. We use a metal one for the dogs in the laundry room, if we used this one and if my dog really wanted to she could bite through this wood, so just something to be mindful of. The directions were great and told you exactly what to do depending on the measurement of the gap you are putting the gate in. Also it has a unique way to open it. You have to push the bottom and slide the top. Definitely tricky and will keep small children from learning how to open it.
