Beyond Pleased!
OMG! I purchased the commercial 8-quart stand mixer in August but did not get to use it until December! It purred and whizzed around mixing to perfection a long-standing family cookie recipe of Cherry Winks. I am beyond thrilled with this mixer and looking forward to getting a few attachments for it too.

Beautiful powerful red mixer
I had a 6 qt KitchenAid mixer that lasted me for over 35 years of heavy use so this time I bought the 8 qt 500 watt commercial mixer without the guard and it saw heavy use for the last two months. I am really happy with it as it is way more powerful than the 6 qt mixer and holds more dough. I make bars which fill two 9x13" pans in one batch. Once baked and removed from pans the two uncut bars weigh 12.5 to 12.8 total pounds before shipping.

Quieter and sturdier 8 qt KitchenAid
I purchased this mixer just before Christmas because I was needing a larger capacity bowl for my baking. I have had KitchenAid mixers since the late 1980's, and also have a Hobart 20 qt mixer from 1988. Before purchasing this model, I was using two 6 qt machines. I must say that this new model is much more quieter and sturdier than the previous kitchenAids that I have. The larger capacity bowl is perfect for making smaller batches of dough. This will be my go-to mixer when the Hobart 20 qt is overkill.
