Torin 6 Ton Steel Jack Stands Double Locking Car Jack Stand, Black, 1 Pair, W4602A-B

I already had two sets of six ton stands, a set of three ton stands, and four sets of smaller stands. None of them are double locking, and one of the six ton sets is a Torin Big Red set. The six ton stands get the most use around my house because the large footprint is so much more stable, and I have vehicles that require the extra height. These new stands have a few improvements over the older Torins. First is obviously the keyed lock pin that gives an extra measure of security. The lock lever is beefier. The neck plate is now thicker metal and welded on the outside with a good weld instead of tacked from the inside. Lastly the cradle arms now have ears on each side so that when it is at the lowest position it is fully supported on top of the neck whereas the older stands did not have this feature so the ends of the cradle sat against the insides of the neck (like a U sitting on top of a pipe) and could conceivably spread the neck apart or break off the neck plate with enough weight.

Very nice quality of manufacturing. I will be purchasing another pair of 3 ton.
