We too prefer something thicker for a coat and thinner for a shirt because we take off the coat indoors. We do all this because if say we did buy a very thin peacoat (as this one is) you then need to supplement any lacking of peacoat thickness with an extra coat or sweater or vest and you end up too hot indoors, needing 13 drinks, rather than cozy. It really seems obvious that the Manufacturer when counting pennies they saved on knit, lost every inkling and has no clue what the basic use of a winter coat is: You wear a winter coat only in the outdoors, not just because you don't want to get cold, you do because you don't want to get sweaty and roasted when you go indoors too. Most people take off a coat when going indoors, hence why Walmart sells Coat Racks and Hooks. If you do the reverse, accomodating a very thin peacoat, that more likely results a need to take off your extra thick sweater and possibly go bathe in the guest bathroom or just lounge around barechested with only a peacoat, (after you go into the guest bathroom to change costume indoors). In Conclusion: Attires like this have an Audience. He-Man Action Figures, Any Male Stage Performer in Grease the Musical, Male Strippers, Brazillians, Stage Actors (who need to appear cold in a warm theater), maybe Sumo Wrestlers, Vintage Disco Fanatics, and likely a few Boxers may like this thin flimsy coat. If you happen to place in one of those categories, this seems like the ideal peacoat for you! Otherwise, No. Buy something less suitable for stage, and more suitable for real life and real people.
