Excellent SSD, Great Price

The WD Blue SN5000 was purchased to update an older desktop build and is working perfectly. I haven't run performance benchmarks but am not seeing anything resembling a performance issue. The system is working extremely well and no problems were encountered installing the SSD and installing Windows on it. I don't normally shop Walmart for PC components but I'm glad their offer appeared in my search results. Their price for this SSD was easily the best available, making this a very affordable PCIe Gen 4 1TB SSD.

Most Affordable SSD on the Market

Worked perfectly on my PS5. I wanted to upgrade my internal storage and found this 2tb siginificantly cheaper than any other 2tb and even cheaper than some 1tb drives. Very easy installation with some videos online. It does not come with a heatsink which is recommended to have but you can buy those very cheap online. I got one on Amazon for $4 that worked perfectly. Some say you don't need a heatsink but I got one anyway. The read speed for this drive just hits the minimum that the PS5 requires but it still moved 500gb of files within a minute so not much lost there. The added benefit of using the internal drive rather than an external drive is being able to play PS5 games directly from the drive. External drives cannot play PS5 games from them so they require you to transfer the files back over to the PS5 to play. Otherwise, PS4 games can be loaded easily from the external drive which is still beneficial. This was not available to ship through Walmart but I was able to find a store about an hour away with stock and it was worth the drive. If you can't find one locally, change zip codes to other cities near you and you might get lucky!
