The WD Blue ********* 1TB has been a solid upgrade. My system boots fast, apps open quickly, and overall performance feels smooth for everyday use and gaming. Even on a PCIe 3.0 setup, it runs without any issues. Since it's a DRAM-less SSD, it can slow down a bit with lots of small file operations, but for general storage, games, and regular day-to-day tasks, it performs really well. Speeds are close to what's advertised, and it stays reasonably cool. Overall, excellent value for the money. Perfect for anyone looking to speed up their PC without overspending. If you do heavy professional work you might prefer a drive with DRAM, but for most users, this SSD delivers more than enough.

Sadly, what I paid is a good deal now

Given the recent price hikes, I guess I am lucky to get this for a little over a hundred dollars with only 3 left. It's significantly faster than a SATA SSD and Western Digital is one of the best manufacturerers out there, but the Blue series is only their mid tier. You used to be able to get Black series for this price.

Installation can vary depending on your device, unless you plan to use an enclosure. I successfully installed Windows, and it's running as expected. I have also installed and played Hogwarts Legacy without any problems for anyone that plans on purchasing this to use for gaming.
