When ordering this gate I wanted it for the top of outside porch steps. I assumed it was metal but when I opened the box I seen it was wood. It was a super nice gate and looked very well made. I was disappointed that it wasn't metal as nice as it looked. It also looked like it would have been super easy to install. If looking for a nice indoor gate I think this would be a great choice.
