Purina Dog Chow Complete Adult Dry Dog Food for Adult Dogs, Kibble Beef Flavor, 44 lb Bag

Obviously, those of us who love our dogs, want to give them the best nutrition we possibly can, with the hope of keeping them healthy and by our sides for as many years as possible. Unfortunately, with the way prices have skyrocketed, feeding a top-tier food at every meal simply isn't realistic for everyone, particularly when you have several woofies to feed. For us, Purina Dog Chow has turned out to be a very good middle-ground between nutrition and affordability. Purina is an established company that invests in nutritional research and feeding studies, which gives me more confidence in the brand than I have in let's say Pedigree. At the same time, Dog Chow doesn't cost an arm and a leg to feed when you have multiple dogs, as many of the premium and veterinary brands can. (I'm looking at you Royal Canin, Hills, Acana, and the like). There are three things I particularly like about Purina: 1. They also make better foods such as Purina ONE and Purina Pro Plan. I like being able to mix some of those products into the Dog Chow when our budget allows. It gives me a GOOD and affordable everyday base while still letting me upgrade their bowls a bit without having to feed the entire pack a much more expensive food at every meal. 2. In less than 1.5 months, it pretty much fattened up a skinny, neglected, stray Pittie we found (see before %26 after pictures). YES, it's the same pup! 3. All our dogs actually enjoy eating it! Is Purina Dog Chow the fanciest dog food on the shelf? No, but ... our dogs have done very well with both Purina Dog Chow and Purina ONE; they genuinely seem to like the taste; AND look at those coats. So, for a multi-dog household trying to balance good nutrition with the reality of today's grocery prices, we've found it to be a great, practical, dependable, and affordable choice. Our dogs are happy with it, their humans are happy with it, and nobody has to sell a kidney to fill the food bowls. That's a win in our house. 🐾
