The food is small pieces. So if you have a very fast eater you will to get a slow feeder bowl to slow them down. My dogs love this food. We had them on Hills which we loved but the pieces of food were 3x bigger than these and my dogs started not eating whole meals. Skipping at least one if not two in a 24 hour period. Put them on this and they love it. It may be that it was just coincidence but we think it is the smaller pieces that are probably easier to chew etc. We do not use the grain free for large breed. Just this one.
