This rug is definitely less pricey than others. It's thin. not soft. it has a warm feel. However, the cat loves it. I like that it is not fluffy because it's easy to vacuum. I also got the one for in front of the door. It does show any dirt, but again easy to vacuum. I put the 8x10 under the couches as it holds it in place. If necessary, you would need the nonskid liners. Either way, great buy, great look. Very happy with my purchase.
