  • Some tips for cutting nails

    Trimming Time
    Normal nail lengths will not touch the ground. If your dog makes a crisp sound while walking on the floor of your home, it's time to cut nails.
    The best time to cut a puppy’s nails is after the puppy has a bath or when it is very tired.

Ok so I have no idea about the clipper part because Im super scared to try them on my German Shepard! BUT.... the little comb thingy that is in it is WELL WORTH IT! The undercoat comes off so well! After using it, my Sophie looked like a brand new person! AND she absolutely loves the way it feels! And it's also pretty cool that it comes in a little box all tucked in looking like a little doggy pocket knife lol.

I have a 4 pound Chihuahua who absolutely hates getting her nails trimmed. I've tried everything. Even those harnesses where you hang them from a shower curtain rod, and their feet dangle out. She still manages to wiggle too much and get very upset not about the harness, but about the Clippers. I've tried a human clippers, pet nail trimmers, grinding stones, all of it. This time with these clippers, I was able to trim all of her nails in one shot with very little resistance from her. Believe the reviewers who say these are very quiet. They truly are I don't know how they do it. The feel of these in your hands is nice, they do appear of excellent quality, strong, and heavy material, I like the way they fold. It makes them smaller for storage, and protects the blades. When I pulled out the little comb that's tucked into the handle. I was kind of surprised at how small it was. I didn't think it would be very good. But it's wonderful. She loves it, her fur felt so soft afterward, it's sturdy metal so it doesn't bend if it gets snagged in a knot in her long fur. It helps get the dry eye stains out gently. I overall I just think it's a wonderful product and I'm very glad I took a chance on purchasing it. I like the fact that the comb is there and she enjoys that, so that she won't run away every time she sees me with the clippers she has a positive association with it. Again, she's only a 4 pound Chihuahua. I don't know how well this would work with large dogs with bigger nails, but I can't imagine it wouldn't work.
