My son is a tall 7 year old wearing size 8. This is his typical size and best size for him. If your child is shorter, you could stay with the 6-7 size. These are really nice looking and good quality. I like the white piping details and the inside is very soft. My son immediately loved these and said they are super comfortable. I like that they are slim fit and not too baggy. These will be great for school in the fall.
