Key item features

  • Elegant Design: The SAFAVIEH Savonnerie Jorie Bordered Area Rug in Ivory/Navy, 8' x 10', is inspired by luxurious 18th-century French Savonnerie carpets, offering comfort and a chic upgrade to any home.
  • Premium Material: This rug is hand-tufted in India from 100% Indian Wool, featuring a pile height of 0.5 inches, and includes a latex backing for structural integrity.
  • Care Recommendations: Regular vacuuming (without beater bars) and spot cleaning are recommended; professional cleaning is advised for stubborn stains, and rotating the rug every 3-6 months helps prevent uneven wear.
  • Furniture Protection: To avoid flattening the rug's piles, it is recommended to use rug protectors under the legs of heavy furniture.
  • Sunlight Avoidance: Direct sunlight should be avoided as it can cause the rug's colors to fade over time, so placement away from direct sun is suggested.
  • Crease Management: Temporary creases from packing and shipping are normal and not imperfections; reverse rolling is an effective method to flatten them, allowing ample time for the rug to settle.

Directions

Fabric Care Instructions

Routine vacuuming with a high quality vacuum cleaner is the most important thing you can do to maintain the beauty of your rug. Vacuum thoroughly and frequently with a canister vacuum (preferably one without beater bars). This prevents permanent damage by keeping soil particles from working their way deep into your rug. Rugs placed in high traffic areas of your home or office should be vacuumed more frequently. Never vacuum the fringes of your rug, especially a hand-knotted rug.
