Powermaster 47761 Alternator, 200 Amps, Serpentine, 12V, Ford Fits select: 1993-1995,1996 FORD F150

Installed new alternator the day before a race and it only showed .4 volts? Not having time to send back and wait for another I took it apart to find the brushes looked like they they had been machined by a chain saw. Luckily the old alternator still had good brushes so I swapped them and it worked fine afterwards. I tried to contact powermaster but only had luck with sending an e-mail about the issue. Their response was "send us your phone number so we can discuss it", but never from them. All I wanted was a new set of brushes. It had a tag guarenteeing it had been tested and showed the hand written output at different RPM's. So much for belief in that one. They do make good products but need to test the units for real before installing a tag that says so. At the end of the day I would still buy another.
