With the fur baby we have now this type of nozzle for the water to flow from is ok except he knows it isn't what he had so it's taking time for him to adjust. Other kitties of ours would've been playing with the water as it came out. This one is quieter than our old one %26 is a little bigger in quantity it holds. I'd recommend if your cat isn't one who plays in the water. This one also doesn't spill out of the top with the water edge because it is higher than old one we had. No more spills to wipe up or wet floor.

My cats cannot drink from underneath the “faucet” because it curves downward too quickly. Poorly designed shape. I appreciate the stainless steel, so it can go in the dishwasher for sterilization, which i wouldn't have done before w/plastic ones, but the kitties just don't like it. They like to drink from MOVING water
