Amazing value, one big caveat…

Amazing Value! 15 amp charging capable, which is quite fast actually for a typical car battery. I monitored the voltage when i used it for the first time, voltage never went beyond where it's supposed to. The only downside is; it always defaults to lithium battery mode. Even when charging a lead acid battery, if you disconnect the clamps and reconnect, it goes back to lithium mode and has to be changed by pressing a button. This makes it dangerous for leaving unobserved. If overnight there's a power loss and when the power comes back you may just be charging a lead acid battery in lithium mode, which is called out as “dangerous” on the user manual.

put harbor freight to ssshame. i bought a harbor frieght charger and not the cheapest .that mother literally looked and acted and sounded like bottle rockets going off when i attached the leads it was insane. i was left with wires hanging and clips covered in melted plastic on my motorcycle battery . dont ask about returns to harbor freight. walmart stands behind everything. and on top of that . there chargers dont blow up and have local deputys converge onto your home asking wheres the fireworks ...this is a true story and a real review ... true..(not the deputys, i threw that in. but everything else is true. ) honest csb
