It was a gift for my granddaughter. She had one before %26 accidently broke it. She was very happy to get the bird character otamatone. It used to only be available in the black musical note model. So this was a plus. She has not gotten bored with it. My input is the cost. I don't see what justified the cost other than it's popularity. It's plastic %26 not even a real heavy duty plastic.
