Best winter boots I've bought for myself yet.

They fared beyond my expectations in cold / dry ice fishing as well as cold / wet ice fishing. I'd often use them in place of an ice scoop - just kicking the slush out of the hole - and never suffered a wet or cold foot. Ive worn them snowmobiling for several hours in sub 10 degree weather with no issue. The comfort is amazing and you really don't even need big bulky wool socks to keep your feet warm. The fit is true to size. Would buy again in a heart beat.

Finally a boot that didnt feel like like my feet were sloshing around in them. Snug turning the corner and solid once on. Dont pull socks off either. Thanks for the military discount!

Good and bad

I had a pair of a previous model of Arctic mids that lasted me a couple years, that I really liked. My boots get a lot of use as I have a landscape company and a farm. Muck Boots, like lots of work boots run a little small (I'm normally about a US 11 and I now order US 10 with these),but otherwise they're comfortable, and warm. The Vibram sole is more durable too, although it eventually separated from the main boot form on my last pair after a couple years. But it seems they addressed this with an extended piece of rubber up the heel on this new model. The thing I don't like is it has a reinforcing plastic “shield” along the front of the boot which really impedes flexibility when you squat or bend at certain angles. Working the daily outdoor tasks I have, this is actual a pretty big nuisance that I hope they'll change in the future. This is just my experience so far.
