This item is very heavy due to the real wood, but it also has some particle board. I would not pay the original price, or even half the original price.. I got it on a "Black Friday" deal and it is definitely worth the $65 I paid! (just not $250) While it looks nice, there are places near corners (thankfully they are on the back) that the "brown covering" is tearing off. (It's like a thin layer of paper that is pealing) I am pleased that it has a fifth leg, right in the center of the bottom, to help keep the center from sagging as this is a long piece of furniture! The instructions say it takes two people to assemble, but I am a female and with determination, I put it together myself. Instructions also say two people will take one hour to put together.. it took me 3 and 1/2.. Ugh! But it looks nice and holds a 55" TV.

Well I assembled it n when I snapped the top to boot Om on the bottom 2 wooden prongs went right thru the bottom wood good thing it was on bottom where U can't see it n on the middle foot stand had a lot of trouble screwing it in had to rest ill holds for screw went thru
