I've had dry scalp, not dandruff, for years and so tried all the different products from oils to herbal and everything in between. Nothing worked. That is until I tried this product. Frankly I was skeptical as it's a head and shoulders product which I had tried before and it didn't work plus made my scalp breakout in bumps. However, I decided to give it a try and am glad I did! Dermatologist recommended this because I have very dry scalp and need moisturizing shampoo but also I have seborrheic dermatitis of scalp. This caused pain and itching of scalp. this head and shoulder royal line smells so good definitely works for scalp itching. I let it sit on my head for about five minutes and then rinsed out and didn't have any problems the next day. I have 3B curly hair and my daughters have 4b/c hair and it worked perfect for all of us.
