Great Value Instant White Rice, 28 oz

I bought Great Value Instant White Rice because apparently waiting 20 minutes for regular rice is a luxury I can no longer afford. To my surprise, it actually turned out pretty good. Add water, wait a few minutes, and boom—rice. The instructions were somehow easier to follow than some furniture assembly manuals I've encountered. The texture was decent, the taste was good, and it saved me from pretending I know how to cook. If you're looking for a quick side dish that doesn't require a culinary degree, this gets the job done. Great Value indeed.

I wanted something quick tonight so I got this out. Preparation: It took about 5 minutes to cook it on stove top. I brought it to a boil, then turned it down and let it simmer. You can also cook it in the microwave but you have to use a much bigger bowl so it doesn't overflow. One cup of rice and one cup of water makes two servings. I like to put a little butter and low salt soy sauce on it. I served it with chicken. The consistency is a bit gummy but my family likes it that way. Anyway, one serving was filling and plenty for one meal. You can put veggies and tomatoes in it or use leftover rice for fried rice.
